Responsible for preparation of balanced budget ($530,000), staff rehiring, program development, fund-raising, membership development, supervising 5 full-time and 16 part-time staff, as well as representing the WBF within the community, among donors and members and as leader to staff and Board during turbulent financial situation. Advised and worked with Board and advisors regarding financial restructuring and achieved goals to repay $100,000 debt and to launch 2005 programs for this beloved community 501(c)3.

Completed 50,000 mile westabout world circumnavigation with stops in 28 countries. Responsible for instruction, boat maintenance, offshore and coastal voyaging and marketing communications. Specific skills and teaching include diesel and outboard engine operation and maintenance; electrical and mechanical installation, repair and service; sail trim and repair; rigging installations and repair; provisioning, for food, water, fuel and spares. Also, voyaging skills and instruction from novice to advanced levels in navigation, weather, anchoring, storm and heavy weather strategies, radar, radio operations, single-handed strategies, haul outs and emergency procedures. Students ranged in age from 28-71 years old. Wrote articles (5 published), brochures, web page copy and press releases. Represented Tethys in interviews with television, radio and print journalists in 8 countries.
Served as Captain for approximately one month each year while owner traveled back to USA. Single-handed the boat between Malaysia and Thailand.
