Keynote Speaker at Jefferson Community School

Tonight, Kaci Cronkhite presented Woman of the Wind, with a focus on Eleanor Roosevelt's famous quote "You must do the thing you think you cannot do" for the graduates and matriculates of Jefferson Community School. In addition to slides from the sail around the world, Kaci encouraged the graduates to "dare to do" in more ways than just travel. Dare to travel with your family. Dare to stay calm in dangerous situations. Dare to help people when you don't know their language. Dare to go. Dare to do. Dare to live this way right here in PT, anywhere in the world, or both. It was obvious from the many impressive speeches given by teachers and student, that JCS mission is being accomplished and that these kids, their teachers and their parents "dare to do". "It was an honor to be part of their celebration and to see William Bennett and Phoebe Reid, among other students whose parents I know, reach such impressive milestones and have such tremendous opportunity ahead."
