Slice of Moon & Venus Rising

Slice of moon in April
When asked "do you miss cruising?" My answer: "I miss the night sky; the intimacy of knowing the moon phase daily; the unmatched thrill of smelling, then seeing land after weeks at sea; and I miss trade winds.  This morning, an orange slice of moon rose with Venus, reflecting on Puget Sound's Admiralty Bay.  Pausing to look, to take a picture, isn't long enough to feel the ultimate experience of those many night watches... but it's close, and it's important for the health of the soul, for balance, for peace.
